I can’t sleep without my teddy!”.

Cum primul lot s-a vandut aproape imediat, Michtom s-a decis sa ii trimita unul si presedintelui, cerandu-i permisiunea de a-i folosi numele pentru noul produs.

One of the best plays I’ve seen is “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. It is a drama about hatred between families and a magical love that has to fight in order to become possible.

The story is set in England, around 1700. The plot revolves around two rich families. Montague and Capulet which couldn’t stand eacheother because of political problems. Juliet was a Capulet and Romeo was a Montague but, despite their families’ problems, they fell in love. They had to fight until the end for this love and, in the end, they died for it.

The main characters are Romeo and Juliet. The two youngsters can’t be happy together because of their families. They are very strong and powerful, they argue with their relatives to protect their feelings for eachother and, in the end, they realise that the only way to be together is to die. After that, nobody can tell them how to feel.

What I liked very much in this play were the costumes: the women wore long dresses and the men trousers, shirts and waistcoats. These were the traditional outfits at that period.

To sum up, I would throughly recommend this play to anyone who wants romance, drama and action in the same place, to anyone who wants to discover what true love can do and how much a person can fight for love or to anyone who wants to be challenged and made to think about hatered and love.

Felicitari, Irina!

Daca va recunoasteti in aceasta descriere, intelegeti cat de importanti sunt bunicii in cresterea copilului.

CASA BUNICILOR

De ce-mi stăruie în minte,
Vechiul bucium de la stână,
Prins de cureaua cu albe ţinte,
Lângă uşa scârţâind, bătrână?

De ce mi se pare frumoasă,
Acea construcţie simplă de lemn,
A bunicilor veche casă?
Cred că e al amintirilor semn.

Odăile cu duşumele de pământ,
Ferestre mici, tăiate de vergele,
Pentru mine este locul sfânt,
Al copilăriei mele.

Nu pot să alung din amintiri,
Să pun în locul lor palate,
Să înlocuiesc vechile trăiri,
Vă spun! Asta nu se poate.

Valentine’s Day la Follow Me

Valentine’s Day la Follow Me

Valentine, do you know how hard it is for

A lonely girl to start to love again after a

Lonely, long period of unhappiness and dissapointment?

Enough, she thought, so she started to love again.

Never has she felt so alive and she said

To you: “I love you, Valentine! You made my heart beat again!

I want to ask for a last wish: Don’t leave me!

Never, because one failed relationship is enough for me.

Enough, did you hear me? Too much!

Say it, Valentine, promise me! We’ll be together forever!

Day after day, year after year. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry

And , most importantly, we’ll spend these days together.

Yesterday, today, tomorrow,…will be the same for us!”

“Love is better than wisdom” means we make better decisions with our heart than with our mind. When we are in love, we can be more gentle with the people around us. “

Mihai Filip, S4A

I agree that love is better than wisdom, because too much wisdom can make people hate you because nobody likes a “Mister Know It All” and then, love lasts until divorce.

Alexandru Laszlo, S4A

I agree that love is better than wisdom. Firstly, love is a feeling that every person has met at least once in his/her life. Of course, this feeling is very important because it helps you know that people care about you.

On the other hand, wisdom is the ability to give advice and, for example, help people feel better. So wisdom is an ability which you develop in your life. That’s why I’d rather choose love over wisdom.

Catalin Balaci, S4A

Love is better than wisdom because love lasts all our life, whereas wisdom occurs when we grow up. When we are young, we are full of love for our parents, sisters and brothers and everyone at school or kindergarten. But at that time we don’t know what is good, that meaning we are not wise.

In the story “The fisherman and his soul”, the mermaid and the fisherman have a true love, but the priest is totally against their love, because he thinks that the fact that she isn’t a human is an impediment for their love.

And the winner is…

And the winner is…

Felicitari, Cristina si multa bafta tuturor la viitoarele concursuri Follow Me:

This is my best photograph that I’ve ever taken. I was in a camp with my friends. In the day when I took it,we wanted to go to a monastery which was in the middle of a forest. The way to the monastery was with more adventures, but finally, when we saw the place,we were very impressed. On our way,we saw:beautiful flowers, wonderful water lilies,a clear river and an orchard full of apple trees. My best friends and I were at the back of the line when suddenly we saw  this beautiful butterfly on one leaf. I saw it first and after that I told this to my friends. We all got out our digital cameras and took this photograph. I was surprised that the butterfly did not fly away and stayed on the leaf until we took the photograph.

I said in my mind:”I THINK THIS BUTTERFLY IS A MODEL AND IT LIKES THE PHOTOGRAPHIES  WHICH IT IS IN VERY MUCH”. All the people said that this photograph is the best that I’ve ever taken and I agree with them.

I hope that you really love this photograph too and I hope that you’ll tell your best friends that a child took a very beautiful photograph with the most interesting story!

Viziunile adolescentilor despre problemele mediului

Viziunile adolescentilor despre problemele mediului

The modern world is changing faster than at any time in history. This is creating problems for our planet, but is also creating new and exciting opportunities. Our planet will suffer many changes.

Many people are pessimistic about the future of our planet. They believe the whole regions will be inhabitable because because of global warming and pollution. Others are arguing that we will soon run out of fosil fuel and we won’t have any types of sources of energy. It is true that pollution and global warming cause serious problems for our planet, but I don’t think energy will be a problem in the future.

In my opinion, there are many reasons to be optimistic about the future. During the next 20 years, there will be important advances in technology. We will be able to use solar power instead of electricity and fosil fuel. I also believe that scientists will find ways to make our planet greener.

In conclusion, I believe solar power will be the only way we can have energy and have a greener future. I also believe that science will advance quickly enough to find solutions to save our planet.

Radu Fratisteanu, S4B

Our planet is in a very big change. It is changing very fast. Modern technology is polluting and it will be very dangerous for us.

Many people are pessimistic about our future. But they are right about aspects. We must use solar power because we’ll have a greener future. If we don’t use solar power, we will die because modern technology is really affecting us. Energy comes from polluting things. Solar power is very good for us, because if we don’t do this, we will really suffer.

On the other hand, many people are changing because they became ecologists and they might own a green house. And if they ride bikes, they might not turn off the lights every time. And it is very funny because we will be very sweaty. In this case it’s a double standard. If we have special machines to reflect solar power at our houses, it will be very healthy for our planet if we use this. We’ll have a greener planet and very clean air.

In conclusion, I believe that if we use solar power, we’ll have a greener future, although there are serious problems affecting our planet. I don’t think that the situation will get out of control, so we must use solar power. I think this is the solution.

Competitia intre copii

Competitia intre copii

“3…2…1…Start concurs!”

In primul rand, pentru ei.

Cu ocazia asta, tinem sa va reamintim de deadline-ul concursului “My Best Photograph – The Story”.

A whole new set of essays – S4A

A whole new set of essays – S4A

Curg temele in perioada aceasta la Follow Me.

The world is changing day by day. It is harder to survive in a world like this with all the technology and the monsters that we make? Is the future made by us or by the computer?

Let’s start by talking a bit about technology. Is it good? Well, the answer is yes because it makes our lives easy … but if we are making robots so smart, why aren’t we scared of losing control of them? What if they are going to be smarter than us in the future? They will control us! But right now they are destroying the Earth just like cars, factories, computers and other things.

On the other hand, if we are making technology so smart, we will be able to make our lives easier. For example, we could have a lot of free time (because the computer is doing our work for us and we just relax).

Finally, our world is full of computers, smart phones and other things that make some things look easy but we must control all of this technology or it could do a lot of bad things.

Bravo, Georgiana!

Fifty years from now, life will be much easier and healtier for ordinary people than it is today.

These days the world is changing faster and faster than ever. Another problem is the number of people on Earth, which has already touched 7 billion. But it’s also the faster changing of science and the world that creates oportunities for regular people to become rich.

Maybe many people think that fast changing of the world creates problems. Some think that the population will increase faster than ever before in history and the planet won’t be able to support us and it will crash down.

On the other hand, there are a lot of reasons that the world will change in a good way. Science will advance and the doctors will be able to cure the diseases more effectively.

Finally, I believe that life will be better fifty years from now. Although there are many problems facing the world. I don’t think that the situation will get out of control. I believe science will advance quickly enough to find solutions.

There are few people in our days who could think of a world without their mobile phones.

It is a fact that mobile phones have a number of advantages, but let’s not forget about what scientists say about them – the fact that they can cause cancer and other things like that. And there are people that don’t know how to use their mobile phones on public transportation. Family members don’t even see eachother’s faces anymore.

However, mobile phones are great to keep in touch with friends from far far away. In fact, if you happen to have a car accident in the middle of an abandoned street or in the middle of the desert, you can call for help with it.

On balance, it seems that mobile phones have as many advantages as they do positive aspects. However, in more situations they are indispensable.

Felicitari, copii!
